Grand Canyon Skywalk

Here are some suggestions on what to take along to make your Skywalk experience truly memorable:
  • A little patience! And maybe your iPod...waits in line of about 30 minutes are common
  • Sunscreen and a hat. There is shade at the Skywalk, however elsewhere there is very little shade, and the sun can really burn out there
  • Comfortable shoes and light clothing. Spring and summer are hot in the desert
  • You cannot take your camera or any personal effects on the Skywalk. Be prepared to store your belongings in the lockers at the Skywalk.

Wow! what a day be sure to book the 7.00am slot. The flight out was excellent and the boat on the river was so quiet and eye opening, The indian guide said the early start made the boat ride better( more time without others waiting to get on ).The helicopter then took us up to the bus taking us to the skywalk, beautiful views and again quiet due to the early start. Food at the indian reservation quite good but from here after all the site seeing we didnt have enough time to visit the ranch. The trip was fantastic and well worthwhile but I think if they added another 45mins to the whole trip you could easily get round everything.BUT DONT MISS IT !

FANTASTIC! Best tour I have taken. The limo took us to the airport, fabulous trip to and from the Canyon with the helicopter company, and return to hotel via limo. It was brilliant and something I will always remember. Worth every cent.

Theentire experience was great. From being picked up at our hotel to being returned. I was not that impressed with the limo ride..really hard to get in and out...our pilot was great...nothing rattled her....was happy to have one of the decendants from the originial Indian tribe of the area to be our guide on the Colo. River. What a wonderful way to see what God has created and sustained over the million of years. It really was a good thing.

This is the best way to get from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon. It is quick and the helicopter flies at just 3,500 feet so the views are wonderful. This company flies its helcopters out of the Las Vegas Airport next to the Strip so commuting time to the airport was minimal. Our pilot was cheerful, friendly, and professional. We were a bit apprehensive beforehand about flying in a helocpter, but once we were in the helicopter, we felt safe for the entire trip to and from the canyon. My favorite time at the canyon was when we were down on the river. The experience at the top was a bit more "touristy" than I would have liked, but overall we thought it was a trip of a lifetime and highly recommend it.

Even before I booked this tour, I did the research and read all reviews and found no surprises. I booked this tour as a gift to my husband whom has never been in a helicopter. "Everyone" was professional from the limo driver, ticket agents, boat operators, food service right through to our pilot. Yes, it is a good idea to bring extra money to tip additional vendors and with good reason. The meal was cafeteria style but satisfying. No complaints. This is truly a wonderful experience and found it to be one of the high points of my visit to Vegas.
